Understanding Earthquake Information and How It Can Help You | February 20, 2009 Offered by the South Carolina Earthquake Education and Preparedness (SCEEP) Program and hosted by the South Carolina Emergency Management Division (SCEMD) Date: February 20 | 9 AM - 3:30 PM Location:SCEMD, Pine Ridge Armory, 2779 Fish Hatchery Rd, West Columbia, SC 29172 Description: This workshop will focus on understanding earthquake information and how this understanding can help emergency services make sound decisions and requests. SCEEP will provide information on phases of emergency management, SC earthquake specifics (including historical seismicity, fault lines, risk, tsunami potential, liquefaction, and damage types), earthquake damage versus hurricane damage, interpreting HAZUS reports, comprehensive data management systems, and the new earthquake guide.
