The week of November 9th, 2008 is Earthquake Awareness Week. SCEEP will have numerous activities planned for that week. Please check our calendar of events for upcoming workshops and activities. We hope you will join us at one or more of the events. Other resources are listed below.

  • Earthquake Toolkits for Checkout
    SCEEP is in the proces of developing toolkits for formal and informal educators to check-out for use in the classroom. These toolkits are available for free and can be checked out for 1-2 weeks. If you are interested in checking one of these out, contact our education specialist, Charlie Kaufman, at kaufmanc@cofc.edu. These will be available in Noveber 2008. Some of the activities, all mapped to the National Sceince Education Standards, within the toolkits are:

    • Jump Around, Up and Down: try to create your own earthquake that registers on the seismometer [in development]
