CSHACe is a consortium of governmental agencies, academic institutions and the private sector.
CSHACe was originally formed at the College of Charleston through interactions with the USGS National Map Program, the NOAA Coastal Services Center and the FEMA National Earthquake Hazard Reduction Program (NEHRP) in the spring of 2004.
Twenty individuals
representing 11 Agencies and Academic Institiutions participate in the consortium
This purpose of the consortium is to develop a plan for developing and maintaining the datasets necessary to seismic hazards analysis in the Charleston region.
CSHACe Goal:
Our goal is to develop seismic hazard maps for the Charleston Region consistent
with the standards and methodology of the USGS Earthquake Hazards Program.
Role of the CSHACe Website:
The CSHACe Website is designed as a portal to servers that hold the data and information about the Charleston Seismic Region and the Earthquake of 1886.
